Hang-Price-Tag

Please read this page in its entirety for complete instructions on preparing your items for the sale!

HANGING

  • Place clothing on hangers with the hanger hook turned to the left
  • Pants, shorts, and skirts should be safety-pinned on to hangers
  • NO STRAIGHT PINS ALLOWED.  Please do not use the tiny gold safety pins!
  • Please tug on items to ensure that they won't fall to the ground... items on the ground won't sell.
  • For 2 piece outfits:  Pin the bottoms to the hanger first, then place the shirt or jacket over top.  Pin both items to ensure that the outfit stays together.
  • Make sure clothing is freshly cleaned.
  • Please use junior hangers for baby clothing.
  • Make sure that all zippers, buttons, and snaps are fastened.
  • Refer to the pictures below for hanging requirements:

PRICING
  • As a general rule, price your items at 30-40 percent of the price that you paid.  The condition of the item will raise or lower the price.  For instance, if you paid $10.00 for a Carer's hoodie, price it at $3.00-$4.00.
  • Use only WHOLE DOLLAR increments (No items under $1.00)
  • Use a red marker to mark a RED DOT  next to the price (on both halves of the tag) if you DO NOT want the item to be sold at half price.  We will tell shoppers that items WITHOUT A RED DOT ARE HALF PRICE.

TAGGING
  • Only the tags that we mail you after you sign up are permitted.
  • Tags should be filled out with black ink pen ONLY.
  • Tags must be completely filled out with size, price, and description.
  • Description should include only brand and type of clothing (ex. Carter's pants)
  • If tag has a red marker dot on it, then you want the item to be sold at FULL PRICE during the HALF PRICE sale.
  • You must mark a yellow highlighter line down the right side of your tag if you DO NOT want your unsold items donated to charity.  Unsold items with a highlighter line will be sorted after the sale for you to pick up.
  • Refer to pictures below for examples of how to tag your items:

 Preparing Shoes:

  • Shoes must be super clean!
  • Infant and toddler shoes should be placed in a zip-loc bag with the tag taped securely to the outside of the bag.
