How Do I Consign?

Why should you consign your kids' items with us?

Consignment sales have a much higher customer turn-out than yard sales.  When was the last time that you had hundreds of shoppers at your yard sale?  More customers means more opportunities for your items to sell, and at higher prices!

We make it easy for you to sell your items!  We take care of the advertising and set up, which means less work for you!

Buyers are more attracted to consignment sales because they can shop a large variety of items without having to drive from house to house, getting the kids in and out of the car, and standing outside in the cold.

And the BIGGEST REASON to consign your kids' items with Closet Chicks:

What about the numbers?  How much money will it cost me and what percentage do I get to keep?

You will receive 70 percent of the selling price from each item sold!  You set your own prices and decide if you want your unsold items to be sold at half price on the last day.  You receive a check with your final earnings, minus the consignor's and tag fees, the day after the sale ends.

The fee to consign is $15.00, deducted out of your final check.  Cost of tags is 2 cents each, or 1 penny each if you need over 150 tags.


Okay, I want to consign with Closet Chicks!  How do I consign?

It's simple!  Just follow the steps below and earn money for your unused kids' items:

1.  Clean out your kids' closets, toy chests, play rooms, etc. and gather any GENTLY USED items to sell.  All items will go through a quality inspection before being placed on the sales floor.  Do not bring items with holes, stains, broken pieces, or excessive wear.  Be sure to click on "What We Accept" above to see what items we do and do not accept!

2.  Get a count on how many items you have to sell.  You will need to know how many tags you need when your Register as a Consignor.  Cost of tags is 2 cents each, or 1 penny each if you need over 150 tags.
          
3.  Click on "Register to Consign Now" at the top of this page to register as a Closet Chicks consignor.  You will be directed to a new page with a form for you to complete.

4.  After you have registered online, we will assign you a Consignor Number, write this number on your requested number of tags, and mail your tags to you.  Cost of tags is deducted from your final check.  

5.  Hang and tag your items.  Click on "Hang-Price-Tag" above for detailed instructions on how to hang and tag your items.  Be sure that all items and tags are secured.  We are not responsible for items that lose tags or fall off hangers!

6.  Drop off all of your items to the sale location on the scheduled day.  Click on "Sale Schedule" above for event schedule.

7.  Tell your friends!  You are the best source of advertising!  The more customers that shop the sale, the more chances for your items to sell!

8.  Take advantage of the CONSIGNOR'S ONLY PRIVATE SALE and get access to great deals and the best selection before the public!  See "Sale Schedule".

9.  After the sale ends, come to pick up your unsold items (if you don't want them donated to charity) and your CHECK!  See "Sale Schedule".  If you want us to mail your check to you, you must bring a self-addressed stamped envelope to check-in when you drop off your items before the sale.
